How to ask for an appointment

Contact us to make an appointment. We are open Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm (except on Bank Holidays).

Urgent appointments

If you need to speak to a health worker today:

  • Call us on 01274 322400.
  • Come to the York Street GP practice and tell a receptionist.

If your health problem is an EMERGENCY, call 999.

Non-urgent appointments

If your problem is not urgent:

  • Fill in our appointment form online. We will reply before the end of the next day to tell you what will happen next. If you fill in the form on a Friday we may not reply until Monday.
  • Call us on 01274 322400.
  • Use your NHS account (on the NHS website or NHS App) to book non-urgent GP appointments, screening tests and vaccinations. Click here to watch videos on how to use the NHS website and NHS App.
  • Come to the Bradford GP practice and ask a receptionist.

When you contact us, we will ask what help you need.

We use this information to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or health worker for you.

Your appointment

Your appointment may be:

  • on the phone
  • face to face at the surgery
  • on a video call
  • by text or email

You may be able to get a phone, video, text or email appointment quicker than a face to face appointment.

Home visits

  • If you are too ill to come to the surgery
    or
  • You have a severe disability
    and
  • We cannot help you by phone or video call

You can ask for a home visit when you make an appointment.

A doctor or nurse will decide if you need a home visit.

They will work with you to find the best way to help you.
